Role Overview:
The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, safety, and maintenance of retail stores and facilities. The role supports daily operations by minimizing downtime, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for customers and employees.
What you will do:
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
- Perform regular inspections of store equipment, systems, and infrastructure
- Execute preventive maintenance plans to avoid breakdowns
- Diagnose and repair technical issues (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fixtures, etc.)
Store Readiness & Operations
- Ensure the store is fully operational and compliant with safety standards at all times
- Respond quickly to maintenance requests to minimize disruption to business operations
- Support store openings, renovations, and closures when needed
Vendor & Contractor Management
- Coordinate with external service providers for specialized repairs and maintenance
- Monitor quality of work and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets
Health & Safety Compliance
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and local regulations
- Conduct routine safety checks and report potential risks
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
- Track maintenance costs and suggest improvements for efficiency

- Average response time to maintenance requests
- Percentage of planned preventive maintenance completed on time
- Reduction in unexpected breakdowns
- Number of incidents impacting store operations
- Ability to optimize vendor costs
- Respect of deadlines by external providers and quality of interventions (low rework rate)

What you will bring to the role:
- 2+ years in operational leadership in a retail context
- Operational compliance and process ownership experience
- Budgetary planning and resource management experience
- Strong understanding of customer experience systems and feedback processes
- Familiarity with retail systems, tools, and automation
- Experience with opening/closing stores and retail lease oversight
- Fluency in English. Additional languages are advantageous
