We are currently seeking a Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for an ambitious individual who is keen in pursuing an accounting career in an ever-growing Group and eager in gaining hands-on experience within a fast-paced commercial environment.
Role Overview
The main role of the Junior Accountant will that of supporting the Finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with reporting processes, meeting deadlines and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures. The role offers significance exposure to various interesting finance-related challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist and supervise the posting of accounting records and financial transactions
- Perform and check banks, suppliers and other general ledger reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts and other ad-hoc financial reports
- Assist and supervise the accounts payable and receivable processes
- Help maintain general ledger accuracy
- Assist in the month-end and year-end processes
- Prepare VAT returns and other statutory reporting requirements
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate financial information
- Support during analysis process of finance-related projects
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a qualification in Accounting (ACCA or equivalent)
- Experience in accounting work
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills in English
