As our business continues to expand, we are looking for a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to help ensure our stores, warehouses, factory, head office, and other company properties remain safe, efficient, and fully operational.
Job Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across all Company locations. The role involves troubleshooting and repairing electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, air conditioning, and general building maintenance issues to ensure facilities, equipment, and infrastructure operate efficiently while maintaining high health and safety standards.
Job Details
-Carry out planned and emergency maintenance across retail stores, warehouses, factory, head office, and other company properties
-Diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general maintenance faults
-Perform maintenance and servicing of air conditioning, refrigeration, and HVAC systems
-Install and modify water and electrical trunking where required
-Carry out general carpentry, painting, and building maintenance tasks
-Install, maintain, and repair store fixtures, equipment, and technical systems
-Assist with the setup of new stores, ensuring equipment and installations are fully operational
-Conduct regular inspections to identify and prevent equipment failures
-Respond promptly to maintenance requests and minimise operational downtime
-Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, Company policies, and industry standards
-Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and materials used
-Manage spare parts, tools, and maintenance inventory efficiently
-Report maintenance hazards, major repairs, and operational risks to management
-Work closely with store managers and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues efficiently
-Support renovation, refurbishment, and facility improvement projects across the business
-Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment at all times
What Makes You A Strong Candidate
-Electrical License B certification
-Minimum of 3 years' experience in maintenance, facilities, or mechanical repair
-Experience within retail, commercial, or facilities maintenance is considered an asset
-Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems
-Ability to carry out general carpentry, painting, and building maintenance
-Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications
-Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
-Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
-Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
-Good communication and teamwork skills
-Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to emergency repairs
-Knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is considered an advantage
-Possession of a clean and valid EU or Maltese driving licence
