As the Product Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in steering product initiatives from conception through to successful market launch. This position requires working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, R&D, and Operations, to develop and deliver products that meet consumer needs and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete product development lifecycle from ideation to commercialization
- Conduct thorough market research to pinpoint consumer needs, preferences, and emerging trends
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation effectively to ensure timely product launches
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate market data into actionable product concepts
- Maintain and manage product specifications, focusing on formulation and packaging requirements
- Coordinate product testing phases including stability, efficacy, and consumer feedback assessments
- Ensure all new and existing products comply with relevant regulatory requirements and quality standards
- Analyze and evaluate existing product lines, recommending enhancements or new developments
- Keep abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to spot opportunities for innovation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry, Business, or a related field
- Proven experience in product development, ideally within the pharmaceutical or personal care sectors
- Strong project management skills with a track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of regulations and compliance specific to product development
- Experience with market research techniques and consumer insights analysis
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Adept at working in a collaborative team environment
- Creative thinker with strong problem-solving abilities
- Competence in analytical skills and decision-making processes
- Familiarity with project management tools and software platforms
- Have full permission to live/work in Malta without a visa
