Panta is looking for an experienced and driven M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our team, taking a key role in managing the commercial aspects of our projects and ensuring effective cost control, accurate valuations, and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Organisation
• Organise and maintain a shared file/folder structure for each project
• Schedule and organise site visits with interested parties as may be required.
• Plan, prioritise, and schedule own work to meet project, commercial, and reporting deadlines.
Measurements, updating and claims
• Measure actual quantities and value works completed on site, ensuring that measurements are properly recorded, traceable, and aligned with drawings, site records, and approved project documentation.
• Measurement of actual quantities will involve measurement using specific software from construction drawings and/or onsite measurements as may be required. The software typically used is Autodesk CAD, Bluebeam, and PDF reader.
• Monitor, track, and document extra works, variations, and other claimable items, ensuring that supporting records are maintained and that such items are captured in payment applications in a timely manner.
• Prepare and submit monthly payment applications, including the required measurements, supporting documentation, variation details, and any other substantiation required by the contract or client procedures.
• Follow up and liaise with clients and/or consultants to support the timely review and issuing of payment certificates.
• Follow up material being delivered to site.
Coordination with other departments
• Liaise with the Accounts Department to support the issuing of invoices, reconciliation of payment applications, and follow-up of payments due.
• Liaising with the estimating department, site managers etc. and ensure that the claims are capturing all the works being done on site.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to support the timely review, clarification, and approval of claims under assessment.
Reporting
• Preparing reports, forecasts, analyses, budgets, and other documents that may be required from the Head of Projects or the COO.

Working conditions
• The M&E Quantity Surveyor will be based at Head Office and will also carry out duties on project sites, ensuring compliance with standard employment conditions and site safety protocols. Reporting Structure / Accountability
• The M&E Quantity Survey will report directly to the Head of Projects and the COO.
Qualifications, skills and experience
• Proficient user of Autodesk AutoCAD, Bluebeam, PDF measurement tools, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office applications relevant to quantity surveying, reporting, and commercial administration.
• Qualification: High school diploma • Experience: 5 years
• Must be knowledgeable of CAD, BIM, and Office software
• Must be capable to carry out draft financial estimates
• Must have strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Must have sound knowledge of contracting
