We're a small games studio in Malta, and we're looking for our next animator. We don't mind whether you've ever had an animation job. We don't mind whether you've been to art school.
If you've got a feel for how things move, we'll teach you the rest, and we pay for your training and your software licence while you learn.
The work: 2D animation in Spine: characters, objects and effects. Rigging a character so it moves properly, then giving it life: idle movement, reactions, small bits of personality. Making a coin land with weight. Making an effect feel like it hits.
What we're looking for: an eye for movement. Timing, weight, anticipation, comic instinct. The kind of person who notices when an animation in a game or a film feels off, even if they couldn't explain why.
You don't need to draw, artwork is provided. You don't need a degree or previous experience. If you have work to show, great, send it. If you don't, tell us what you'd love to animate and why.
What it pays: a real salary from day one, rising as you get better. We'd rather grow someone than hire someone already finished.
Shortlisted candidates get a paid trial day. No prior knowledge needed for it, we're testing how fast you pick things up, not what you already know.
