Role purpose
Assistant electricians by performing duties requiring less skill. Duties include using, supplying, or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work area and equipment.
The key duties and responsibilities of the role are as follows
- Install and connect lighting installations
- Diagnose installation malfunctions and repair broken parts
- Install electrical part of solar-powered installations
- Make trenches to pull cables through (drilling through walls, filling…)
- Place and connect material for low voltage (switches, sockets…)
- Look after any company equipment, vehicles, tools, products and material you are entrusted within ensuring that these are kept in their original state and working order
- Assist the installers with the installation of all products
- Follow the advice given by the installers whilst in their responsibility and share the ownership of the installation
- Ensure no damages are caused whilst at the client’s property
- Look after the company tools and that all is accounted for at the end of each shift.
- Report any breakages of tools to the installer and/or storekeeper on the day

- Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
- Excellent physical condition and flexibility
- Proven experience in a similar job
- Good customer care skills
